Making Moves- Sticky Toffee Presents Tru Streetdance Academy

Sassy, successful, with Tru Street credibility; this lady is making moves and she is taking the youth with her.
From humble beginnings back in the summer of 1999, Tru Streetdance founded in Birmingham by Tyrone and Ikeela Sealey with a clear vision to raise the profile of street dancing and provide a wealth of opportunities for the Birmingham youth, this organisation has grown from strength to strength.

Over the past decade Toffee AKA Ikeela Sealy has grown the organisation into a formidable force in the UK performing arts scene. Not only has she established Tru Streetdance Academy with an ever increasing number of talented dancers, she has established her own dance agency Sticky Toffee Dance LTD with 10 professional chorographers on her books, Toffee has also recently opened Sticky Studios offering a full programme of dance and fitness classes for the general public.
This entrepreneurial young lady is truly an inspiration as many of the young people taken under her wing would testify.

Working within the local community engaging youths having difficulty in main stream education, Tru Streetdance Academy helps to provide a focus and sense of achievement for up to 200 young people every year.
It doesn’t stop there for these talented dancers, when you graduate from Tru Streetdance the sky ‘s the limit, one former pupil Sydney Jo has just started touring with the raising icon Kayne West, has previously danced for Trey songz and Wonder Bra lingerie to name but a few.

Sydney Jo says: “If you want to start dance start with Toffee, I started dance with Toffee from the age 14, I am now 23. I was a committed dancer for Tru Streetdance and had 1 to 1 private lessons with Toffee to enhance my skills. From the help of Toffee I got into Italian Conti one of the leading dance school's in London!”
